Template:Kart-infobox The Koopa Dasher is a kart in the Mario Kart series. It shaped like a Green Shell with a "K" on the front. In early screenshots, it had an "N," because Koopa Troopa's Japanese name is Nokonoko.[1]

History

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

The Koopa Dasher first appears in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! as Koopa Troopa's kart. It is a lightweight kart and is available by default. It is unique among the other lightweight karts, being larger compared to the others. That said, the Koopa Dasher has a little more weight and can take stronger hits from heavier weighted karts (such as Daisy's Bloom Coach). It also has below average speed, excellent acceleration, and decent steering capabilities.

Despite it having a two star speed stat, the Koopa Dasher's speed is really tied with the Boo Pipes and the Rattle Buggy. Additionally, the Koopa Dasher bounces more than the Toad Kart and Rattle Buggy, despite being heavier than them. Lastly, while it has a four star acceleration stat, the Koopa Dasher's acceleration is equal to the Rattle Buggy and Boo Pipes, but it does have better acceleration than the Toad Kart.

In this game, its wheels resemble shells as well.

Mario Kart Tour

The Koopa Dasher returns in Mario Kart Tour. The kart no longer has a "K" on it, being replaced by the driver's emblem, and the platform is absent. In the beta version, the kart used the Pipe Frame's tires, but in the final game, it uses the Turbo Yoshi's tires. It is classified as a Normal kart. A Rocket Start boosts the kart for a longer period of time than most other karts.
