You need to click on the “.?123” symbol and hold the apostrophe button until you see more options. You simply need to press the “'” button. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)

I know, I know, but as a foreign, my English teachers/tutors/parents/friends never ever said anything about contractions, so it's basically stuck in my brain. I'm trying to avoid this, but it's hard to fight a 21 years old habit. About the Japanese naming, yes I know that too: that's me just confusing the Wiki rules with the Wikia's. About my Japanese translation method: at the beginning, I used this site to extract the Japanese text from a page and then compare the translations on the dictionary and sites (rarely but basically never I used Google Translate). This was when I was scarce in Japanese, now I'm a bit better: I hardly use that image-translator site to copy-paste the text (I directly write down the stuff), I still use reliable translation sites (like Reverso Context) and my knowledge from the lessons. Deletion Discussion

Dwhitney (talk) stated as such in a recent edit, and I must say, I've never really noticed (if that's true), just that the wiki has generally been inconsistent about it. Question: why format it that way in the first place? It makes more grammatical sense to me to add quotation marks outside italics. For instance, doing it this way makes it much more clearer when quotation marks are already part of a quote, making it a visual indicator that they are not part of the original quote, and also makes it more aesthetically appropriate when said quotation marks are at the beginning or end of an italicized quote. I don't think there's a hard policy on it, but my impression was always that adding quotation marks inside italics was a mistake that caught on from much copy-pasting or some imperfect editing tools. I'm also with LinkTheLefty and I completely agree with him, I use the same reasoning he does to italicize outside of quotes. Quotation marks should be in italics only if they are part of the quote, especially considering we italicize quotation marks already inside if a character or description is quoting something. Yeeeah, sorry 'bout that, unintentional. I don't know Japanese at all, and there's a lot of inconsistencies online to how people write it (4-Koma vs 4Koma or 4 Koma). MarioWiki:Japanese

The "General rules" section says:

In addition to romanization, kanji can be phonetically rendered using <span class=explain title="HIRAGANA">KANJI</span> (insert the kanji and hiragana where indicated; do not use katakana for this purpose).

Does that mean we have to spell katakana words in hiragana too if they occur as kanji readings (e.g. ページ as the reading of 頁, ギャラクシー as the reading of 銀河)?

My opinion is that we should faithfully reproduce the furigana in the original text. If the original text does not contain furigana, then simply indicate the reading in the romaji. This allows us to distinguish "ゴツゴツ山 (Gotsugotsu-yama)", where we have conjectured the reading, from "ゴツゴツ山 (Gotsugotsu-yama)", where the reading is in the original text and therefore "official".

Recent ban due to Cappy Throw account

Hello, Regarding the recent ban of CaptainCappy, Cappy Throw is in fact my sibling, who moved out over a year ago. I was poking around a bit, and it seems he was rather rude. However, I am not him and am simply his younger sibling. I emailed the mwikisysop thingy but I haven't heard back yet. While poking around to see stuff about Cappy Throw I stumbled upon something that said "Resorted to offensive language via email" for March 1st? I can't remember when I sent the email, but it wasn't offensive, and I am not Cappy Throw. Here is the email, directly copy-pasted: Hello, I am sorry but I believe we have entered a misunderstanding. CappyCapture is not me but my sibling. To be quite honest, the person behind CappyCapture has moved out entirely. I completely understand where the ban came from and have no hard feelings, as I see how easy and obvious of a mistake this is to make. Especially with how rude he was - I didn't realize until I was fumbling around for a contact address and spotted his comments on Mario JC's page. However I and CappyCapture are not one. I request unbannishment? It would be much appreciated. Sincerest apologies for the mixup. CaptainCappy Is this offensive in some way? I worked hard to keep it not offensive. I am very confused right now.

We received no such email at all from CaptainCappy, and there is no one named "CappyCapture". I was referring to an email sent by CappyThrow, and given that occurred soon after CaptainCappy was blocked, we're finding it hard to believe you're different people. You claimed the email you sent "wasn't offensive", implying it was sent before CappyThrow was blocked since it was in response to the block reasoning. However, CappyThrow was blocked on March 1 whereas this was sent later on March 2. You also said you "can't remember when you sent the email" even though it was only a few days prior. I told you, we're siblings, we (used to) live in the same house. This means the IP is going to be similar if not the same. I was saying I don't know when what happened. CappyThrow can try logging in and posting on their talk page, but as I've said, the email CappyThrow sent us already pretty much confirms it was in reaction to CaptainCappy's block, and this combined with the fact that CappyThrow hasn't spoken up and denied creating another account (even after two weeks have passed) and the fact that you not only waited until five days after your own block to send the email but after CappyThrow's block (which gives the impression it was backpedalling) already casts too much suspicion. There's a possible leak for the Booster Course Pass which is supposedly a picture obtained from datamining. Here's the link. It includes T and R/T variant pictures and unrecognizable courses, so it may be fake, though should this be noted somewhere? Stub vs rewrite-expand

Hi, I saw you banned a user for making stub articles. I made Go-Gurt and Super Mario Cereal articles earlier, as well as a Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner article, for food-related Mario merchandise. I do remember in 2019 there was a proposal I made that set a precedent for merchandise to receive individual articles. Do the cereal and Go-Gurt articles count as stubs? I tried to make sure that they have all the essential information and even added some extra (like a wallpaper on the Go-Gurt article), so I felt the rewrite-expand tag is more fitting. Web Page Inaccessible

I found the problem. After I did an antivirus scan, I went to the webpage again and I got a popup saying that it is infected with URL:Phishing. That's why I can't connect to it in the first place. The pictures on the packs don't always have match up with the tour courses, sometimes, they just reuse pictures. Sometimes, the packs just get reused from previous tours. Other times, they may just be a screenshot from a previous tour.

So I know its fine you renamed Miner to Shy Guy vocals but its actually called miner for a reason, for something like wild woods they aren't mining anything but this only goes for wario's gold mine and shy guy falls.
