See the words historical reference only? That means that it is a history of the user's talk page. If somebody edits the archive, their message is not part of the history. While it is true that the higher-ups decide who does and who does not get promoted, this is only done when necessary. If you've ever read the Frequently Asked Questions, there are ten things you must consistently do in order to meet the requirements for becoming an admin. This does not mean that meeting these requirements makes you admin, but it makes you a good user. Other admin don't make every good user an admin; when they need more, they pick a good user. Essentially, whether or not you get promoted (if you ever get promoted) is determined by your merit, not by your desire. Admins want to make sure that whoever gets a certain position truly deserves it. You don't need to ask about it. If and when you meet the requirements, and if and when the admins decide to add another to their ranks, they'll notify someone qualified for the job. It is best not to be concerned about it and focus on contributing to the wiki, and by contributing, I mean substantial contributing, as in more than minor edits here and there. I know enough to know that I'm nowhere near qualified for any admin position, but my focus is on helping the wiki, not because I want to be an admin, but simply because I care about the wiki. DK GamesI have Donkey Kong Land, Land II, Land III, Donkey Kong 64 (via Vizzed), Donkey Kong Country all versions including the competition version, Donkey Kong Country 2 all versions, Donkey Kong Country 3 all versions and thats it. And even a Super Game Boy RewriteWell, yes because that means one of the opposers wants it rewritten. It must be fixed up more to get rid of the template and therefore be able to have no opposes.
