Hello, 'Shroom readers! Welcome to our Donkey Kong issue! We've done our best to theme this after the big monkey and his pals. You might notice we didn't go all out to make it super special this year, and that's because... well, we just did Issue 150 three months ago, what more do you want from us? Anyhow, we've got the usual December funtimes as well, such as the End of the Year Awards and the Director Election! Please, check it out if you want to run for the Directorial positions in 2020. Beyond that... well, I don't have much else to say! After all, this should be my end as the Director for now, so I'll be leaving 2020 up to some other people. I will, however, see you in January!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the final issue of 2019...and the 2010s as a whole! I don't really have anything to add this month that Perch hasn't said, but I do hope you all enjoy our Donkey Kong issue! Happy holidays, see y'all in 2020!

Staff Section of the Month for November 2019

STAFF-VOTED SECTION OF THE MONTH
Place Section Writer Reasoning
1st 'Shroom Recap Hooded Pitohui (talk) Even without the section history, the writer history is a fascinating, in-depth, and comprehensive look at one of the 'Shroom's longest-term writers/staffers. The amount of detail and the attention thereof are amazing, the section is very complete, even if the section history is not present, and that doesn't impact the quality negatively at all. We're hoping to see more of this section in the future!
2nd Anton's Half-Baked Reviews Hypnotoad (talk) Anton doesn't linger on any one point for too long, it's not written as a stuffy academic piece nor a completely informal take on the items described, and (perhaps most importantly) Anton owns it has an opinion-based section. The strong organization here and the reasonable length of each individual item's review makes it easy to stay engaged through the end. We want to give extra personal praise to Anton for the extra effort in including some literature in his section on the Smarties, too.
3rd Mach Speed Mayhem Superchao (talk) With Mach Speed Mayhem, Superchao maintains its solid organizational structure, its engaging writing style, and its complete coverage of everything F-Zero down to the obscure GP titles and little details like Mighty Gazelle's name change in the Japanese version. It's hard to find new things to draw out and hold up as an example of what a section ought to do, but that doesn't change the fact that this edition continues to demonstrate the high level of quality the section one expects from this section.
4th Smashing Reviews Smasher (talk) Even if someone never heard of Joe and Mac, in any way, this section still feels like an engaging review. Despite someone's complete lack of knowledge with the game, Smasher provides just enough that a reader can make an informed opinion on whether or not the game is worth trying without getting too deep into every single point about her experience.
5th Where in the Marioverse is Carmen Sandiego? FunkyK38 (talk) Fun Stuff might not be the home to the longest and most detailed sections when it comes to the writing, but what they have to offer is unique on their on way, much like FunkyK38's fun and engaging section. We think it deserves our recognition for her work and devotion to this section for the past two years.
Congratulations to all of our writers for their amazing work! See you next year.
