The Roof is the final level in the main adventure of Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, where Mario and the Mini Marios engage in a battle against Donkey Kong on the rooftop, referred to as the Final Boss. The level is automatically entered after completing Boss Game 8 for the first time. The level is also indicated by a button labeled "R" on the floor selection screen. Tapping the "R" button with the Stylus stylus immediately enters the level. Completing the level reveals the Ending movie and the staff credits. Returning to a save file that has just completed the Roof reveals the hidden floor DK's Hideout.

Final Boss

In this level, the Mini Marios must reach Mario at the top of the girder structure (similar to that of 25m in the original Donkey Kong). At the beginning of the level, a Mini Mario appears from the door labeled "M" at the bottom of the screen. Afterwards, additional Mini Marios will occasionally appear from the door. Donkey Kong attacks by throwing barrels, which either roll across the girder structure or drop into the oil can on the right side of the screen, spawning a Fireball. If a Mini Mario comes in contact with one of these obstacles, it breaks. If 6 Mini Marios are destroyed, the game is over. However, if a Mini Mario successfully avoids these obstacles and reaches Mario, he throws the Mini Mario at Donkey Kong, damaging him. After Donkey Kong is hit by 6 Mini Marios, he is defeated.

The music for this level is an arrangement of the 25m theme from Donkey Kong and "DK Island Swing" from Donkey Kong Country.
