Fun Gus[1] is a Toad that appears in Mario Party. He lives in the Option House of the Mushroom Village, sitting on a purple floor chair on top of a chained bench while holding a remote. His name is a pun on "fungus," a group of spore-producing organisms feeding on organic matter including mushrooms and toadstools.
If the player selects him, he will ask the player what they want from him. The player has the option to either delete their saved data or decline.
Professor Fungi in Mario Party 2 serves a similar role in the game.
