World 12 (Dr. Mario World)

World 12 is a candy-themed world in Dr. Mario World. The first area is available as of 2 AM PT on Feb. 3, 2020[1], while the second area, challenge stages and special stage are available as of 11 PM PT on Feb. 19, 2020[2].

When an area is cleared, Ant Troopers and Stingbies appear.. The viruses featured in the regular stages are red, green and light-blue. In the challenge stages, the featured viruses are green, light-blue and pink.

The objective of this stage is to collect all Virus Coins. In this stage, crates surround the red and light-blue Lock Blocks, with a green Lock Block in the middle of the stage. Additionally, colorful crates surround viruses on two or three sides at the top and bottom rows, each in front of a Virus Coin. The cages hold additional viruses along with ice fans, along with four larger Virus Coins behind some of the viruses.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. In this stage, barrels are located in the middle of the stage in a "+" formation and diagonally toward the centre. The former group are viruses while the latter group are exploders. A diamond of dust are found surrounding the middle barrels, containing viruses and exploders. Additional viruses surround the barrels.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, collect all pink coins from Brick Blocks and destroy all barriers. This stage contains colorful crates on the leftmost two columns and the rightmost two columns, along with barries in the middle three columns and four surrounding flasks in the corners. The topmost Brick Blocks contain hidden viruses while the rest contain coins. Additional viruses are found along the two bottom-most row containing crates. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out exploders.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. This stage has both viruses and Capsule Plus capsules occupying the spaces between crates. Some of the viruses and crates are fully-frozen, along with all Capsule Plus capsules. Capsule Plus numbers can decrease even though it it frozen.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all keys. In this stage, four rows of barrels with viruses in between each of the two rows are in the way of the keys and doors. The barrels in this stage contain one key, one lock and two viruses in each column, except for the middle column where only viruses are found within.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and destroy all barriers. In this stage, barriers, viruses, Lock Blocks and Capsule Plus capsules are found in bubbles. Brick Blocks are found separating viruses, Lock Blocks and Capsule Plus capsules in groups of two, two of them behind cages. Barriers in bubbles will not change state until it pops.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all purple coins. In this stage, purple coins are found in the top row above Floatie Viruses, with additional Floatie Viruses near caged purple coins in bubbles, which are next to crates that require one hit to destroy. Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:
  1. Topmost row of coins.
  2. The row of coins in bubbles initially found in the sixth row.
  3. The rest of the coins in bubbles initially found in the eighth row.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all pink coins from Brick Blocks. In this stage, Brick Blocks form a pinwheel, with additional viruses shrouded in clouds. Eight of the Brick Blocks contain coins, four of the Brick Blocks near the middle contain ice fans, while the rest of the Brick Blocks contain viruses.

The objective of this stage is to collect all keys. In this stage, the keys are found at the leftmost and rightmost columns, and Floatie Viruses in bubbles are found, mostly on the leftmost and rightmost columns. All Brick Blocks except those found in the second-from-right column contain either shells or exploders. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either shells or exploders. This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared, and will stop after 9 lines are introduced.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. This stage contains Lock Blocks shrouded in clouds each above a crate and three bubble viruses and three spaces below exploders in cage, with each exploder surrounding fully-frozen viruses. Barrels are found in columns not containin the bubbles, and they all contain viruses. Additional viruses are found below the barrels.

The objective of this stage is to collect all keys. This stage is shaped like two keys formed by Brick Blocks. The bow of each key formation is formed by cages, with a hidden Lock Block found in the middle Brick Block within the cages. Shell are found in the Brick Blocks in the same row as the Lock Block at the bit of each key. The other Brick Blocks not intially in cages feature hidden viruses and Floatie Viruses.

The objective of this stage is to collect all Virus Coins. This stage is formed by four quadrants, each having barriers and viruses that cover each Virus Coin. The bottom-left quadrant ones are covered in dust while the bottom-right quadrant is covered in clouds. A shell is found in the middle of the stage, also covering a Virus Coin.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, including any that appear from flasks, and destroy all Brick Blocks. This stage contains Brick Blocks next to viruses and Capsule Plus capsules, and the Brick Blocks found in the top six rows are half-frozen. The filled flask in this stage will shoot out either viruses or Capsule Plus capsules.

The objective of this stage is to collect all pink coins from Brick Blocks. This stage is shaped like a "W" formed by Brick Blocks and colorful crates. Barriers, both normal and in bubbles, are found in both halves, along with a few viruses above. All Brick Blocks contain coins.

The objective of this stage is to collect all keys. In this stage, all Lock Blocks are found int the topmost row, with two of them blocked by doors and another next to cages that require one of the other Lock Blocks to properly match the Lock Block. In the same columns as the doors and Lock Blocks, bubble viruses are in the way of the keys. Additional half-frozen viruses are found.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. In this stage, a ring of exploders in cages are surrounded by barrels, with the Lock Block found in the bottom row. All barrels contain viruses. The bottom-most row of Brick Blocks and the Brick Blocks by the sides and the top contain hidden ice fans.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. In this stage, diagonal lines of viruses and barrels are found, along with a few Capsule Plus capsules. Most viruses and all Capsule Plus capsules are encased in bubbles. All dust and barrels contain viruses.

The objective of this stage is to collect all Virus Coins. In this stage, there are cages holding Floatie Viruses, with its corresponding Lock Block found in the barrel. Additional Floatie Viruses are found in clouds. Half-frozen viruses are found in the row below the barrel, with some ice fans found above and below them. Virus Coins are found behind the half-frozen viruses and scattered among where the cages are. Fully-frozen exploders are found surrounded by crates and cages. Filled flasks in this stage shoot out either exploders or Floatie Viruses.

The last stage of the first area, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, including any that appear from flasks, and collect all keys. In this stage, the bottom four rows contain rows of viruses (normal, in barrels, half-frozen) with a gap in between, and the five rows above it have viruses contained in all undamaged barrels and most Brick Blocks. Two keys and three exploders are found in a few of the Brick Blocks. Followed by this, the five undamaged barrels in a row all contain keys, along with six doors directly above them.

In the section above the doors, colorful crates are arranged in a pattern where Floatie Viruses and Capsule Plus are found in the larger gaps, while the Lock Blocks are found in the smaller gaps that unlock the colorful crates in the leftmost column, which are located below the door. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either viruses or viruses shrouded in dust.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared, and will stop after 9 lines are introduced.

When cleared, the rest of the first area in the world map gets cleared of viruses. Players also obtain the Ant Trooper assistant upon completing this stage.

The objective of this stage is to collect all Virus Coins. In this stage, only the odd-numbered columns are filled. Each column contains a key, a door, three viruses and Brick Blocks where two of them contain a key and a door. The middle column contains a flask at the top. Virus coins are lined up to occupy all columns except the middle column. The filled flask in this stage will shoot out Brick Blocks.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. In this stage, colorful crates form an outline of a diamond, and viruses are found near the outline of colorful crates. A barrel containing a virus is in the middle of the stage, connected by colorful crates on the west and south and Floatie Viruses on the north and east. Crates form a border around the structure.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all pink coins from Brick Blocks. In this stage, the 7x7 formation is occupied by viruses and four fully-frozen Brick Blocks (each containing coins) near the center. The viruses are either frozen (mostly fully-frozen) or hidden in barrels. Empty Blocks are found on the left and above the formation.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and destroy all crates. In this stage, a lot of crates are found, with the middle ones requiring more than one hit to destroy. Two viruses surrounded by barriers are found in the top-left and top-right corners, and two viruses are each found in the bottom-left and bottom-right corners. Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out exploders.

  1. All coins in the eighth row.
  2. Left two coins in the first row and right coin in the fifth row.
  3. Rest of the coins found in the first and fifth rows.

The objective of this stage is to collect all purple coins and Virus Coins. In this stage, purple coins (caged and uncaged) are found next to crates connected diagonally. The center feature purple coins in a diamond formation. Two Virus Coins are found on each side, with one found in the center. The order in which purple coins are unlocked are in the following sequence:
  1. Four coins on the left side and four coins on the right side.
  2. Four coins at the top and four coins at the bottom.
  3. Eight coins forming a diamond in the middle.

The objective of this stage is to collect all purple coins and collect all keys. In this stage, purple coins surround two groups of 3x5 viruses, one group being half-frozen and another group encased in bubbles. Purple coins can be found in broken and unbroken barrels, with some of them in the way between the keys and doors.

  1. The nine coins found along the bottom of the crates
  2. Coins found in the fourth and sixth columns
  3. The rest of the coins along the fourth row

The objective of this stage is to eliminiate all viruses and destroy all barriers. In this stage, viruses are lined up vertically, save for a few lined up horizontally along the barriers. All Brick Blocks contain hidden viruses. A Capsule Plus is found in a partially damaged barrel at the top-middle part of the stage.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. In this stage, colorful crates form two horizontal lines and two vertical lines criss-crossed with each other, with viruses occupying the spaces in between, along with colorful crates shaped like a cross at the top-right corner separated by ice fans and a lone virus.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses. The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, collect all pink coins from Brick Blocks and collect all purple coins. In this stage, the layout is symmetrical, save for the colors of the viruses and shells. Lock Blocks are found in the middle column, with crates behind the blue cages, Brick Blocks behind the yellow cages and viruses behind the red cages. All Brick Blocks contain coins. TPurple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:
  1. Single coin on the leftmost column
  2. Single coin on the rightmost column
  3. Coins from both the second and eighth columns
  4. Rest of the coins found in the sixth row

The objective of this stage is to collect all keys. In this stage, the viruses form a shape of a bunny's head. Among the viruses, four Floatie Viruses of each of the three colors are found. Doors are found in the topmost row, while keys are initially located below the yellow viruses.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses and collect all purple coins. In this stage, half-frozen viruses, exploders, shells and Brick Blocks are found, along with a few fully-frozen Brick Blocks and purple coins. Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:
  1. The two unfrozen coins and three fully-frozen coins
  2. The two middle coins in the fourth row
  3. The coins found in the middle three columns
  4. The rest of the coins found in the leftmost two columns and rightmost two columns

The final stage is a scrolling stage that requires all viruses to be eliminated. In this stage, various Floatie Viruses are found in the beginning, along with Brick Blocks and viruses in barrels throughout the stages. Bubble viruses appear eventually, and later ice fans start to appear. Exploders later appear, and a couple of half-frozen viruses one line after that. A line of regular viruses are found near the top, with the top containing a line of Empty Blocks. This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared, and will stop after 10 lines are introduced.

Once it is cleared, the remaining area of the stage map gets cleared of viruses, and players can access World 13. Upon completion, players earn a free Staff Ticket that lets them unlock either a new doctor, a new assistant, or leveling up an existing doctor or assistant.

Within a 70 second time limit, players need to destroy all Brick Blocks. In this stage, Brick Blocks are found surrounding crates on the top half, the bottom-left quarter and bottom-right quarter. Separating them are fully-frozen viruses, with an empty mid-point. The top-left and top-right Brick Blocks contain shells.

Within a 60 second time limit, players need to destroy all barriers. In this stage, barriers are found in the leftmost columns and rightmost columns, along with the first, fourth and seventh rows. Viruses in groups of two rows by seven columns are found below each row of barrier.

Within an 80 second time limit, players need to eliminate all viruses and destroy all colorful crates. In this stage, colorful crates have lines of viruses next to them. Colorful crates do not need a match of the same color to remove the ice (but still require a match of the same color to destroy). Additionally, a key is found in the middle column, which will be used to unlock a door between a row of fully-frozen green viruses, which are below a row of fully-frozen colorful crates. Above the row of fully-frozen colorful crates are additional colorful crates. This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared, and will stop after 8 lines are introduced.

The objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses, including any that appears from flasks. In this stage, there are four quadrants partially separated by Empty Blocks each containing four barrels, along with four flasks found in each corner of the quadrants, two of them partially-filled (prior to version 1.2.5, all flasks were empty). Filled flasks in this stage will shoot out either viruses or Brick Blocks. Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and Dr. Fire Peach.
