A puddle in Mario Kart 7

Puddles[1][page number needed] are stage obstacles in Neo Bowser City in Mario Kart 7, specifically in the course's final stretch before the Glide Ramp. Similar to Oil Slicks, they slow down any player that tries to move through it. The Prima guide incorrectly states that touching a puddle spins out the player.[1]

Despite Neo Bowser City returning as a retro course in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, puddles do not return as obstacles.
