Koopa Freerunning is a minigame that appears in Super Mario Odyssey. The minigame involves racing against a quartet of Koopa Troopas known as the Roving Racers and getting to a goal before they do. The minigame is seen in every kingdom except for the Cloud Kingdom, Ruined Kingdom, Dark Side, and Darker Side. The first version of this minigame in a kingdom is listed as "<name of kingdom> Regular Cup" and is unlocked post-game after defeating Bowser in the Moon Kingdom. If the player gets into first place, the leader of the Roving Racers will give them a Power Moon, but if they get in a place lower than first, they will receive either coins or nothing at all.

The second version of this minigame is listed as "<name of kingdom> Master Cup" and can be played after breaking the corresponding kingdom's Moon Rock (except the Mushroom Kingdom which has no Moon Rocks). The same rules apply to this version, but a gold Koopa Troopa replaces one of the Roving Racers. This Koopa Troopa takes shortcuts and uses advanced moves such as the Cap Jump and Cap Dive. Once again, if the player places first, they will receive another Power Moon. After beating this version, the player is able to race again, but they will not receive any more Power Moons.
