Clay performing the Running Save.

The Running Save is a Defensive Power Shot in the game Mario Tennis: Power Tour. It is unlocked after achieving Level 1 speed. Speed can be upgraded by doing the Treadmill and Duck Walk mini games. This shot can be used be either Clay or Ace. By performing this shot, the player must hold down the R Button and A Button buttons simultaneously when the ball is out of reach. After executing this, Clay or Alex will lunge for the ball. When lunging, they dive a little further then they would do for a regular dive for the ball.
