Tennis Machine is a mini-game in Mario Power Tennis for the Game Boy Advance. Unlike the other mini-games, Tennis Machine is not beneficial to Max or Tina's Power Shot. Instead, it helps their skill in other categories, such as volleying, topspin, and serving. The objective is to set a new record for that certain level. The player must hit the tennis ball, that has been shot from the tennis machine, into a certain spot on the court. Gray areas earn the player zero points, orange areas earn the player one point, and the area that flashes green and yellow earns the player five points. The areas change every time the ball has been hit. For each level, the player gets a different amount of tennis balls. For Beginner, they get ten balls to hit. For Standard, they get twenty balls to hit. For Expert, they get thirty balls to hit, and for Master they get forty balls to hit. They is also something called a Perfect Score, which is the maximum amount of points the player can earn for a level.
