Super Smash Bros. is a game for the Nintendo 64 that contains numerous Nintendo characters. (Created by Hal) It is a fighting game in which the player must defeat the other player multiple times in a fighting frenzy of items, power-ups, an original health system, and outrageous Nintendo-themed levels.
Even though it isn't fully a Mario game, it's based more on Mario than any of the other characters, as the name itself gives out, and is popular for its gameplay and engine.
Characters
Mario, Luigi, Kirby, Samus, Link, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Jiggly Puff, Captain Falcon, Pikachu, and Star Fox.
Sequels
Super Smash Bros. Melee is the sequel to Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Gamecube.
Super smash Bros. Brawl is the upcoming sequel for the Nintendo Wii.
