The Striker Cup

The Striker Cup is the final tournament in the Wii game, Mario Strikers Charged Football. It is the most difficult tournament in the game.

The player enters this tournament after they beat the Crystal Cup's champion. In the preliminaries, the player must face nine different opponents, each one a different captain than the last. The player must get into the Top 8 out of 10 to move on, based on points gained or lost in each game: 3 for every win, 0 for every loss, 1 for every sudden-death loss. Each challenger is randomized, so the player does not know who its next opponent will be.

After the player has surpassed all nine preliminary rounds, they will advance to the finals. The finals consist of three challengers. In each round, the highest seed will always play the next available lowest seed(i.e. #1 vs. #8, #2 vs. #7, etc.). The player must start over the tournament if they lose in any of the three games. However, if the player wins all three finals matches, he/she moves onto the Championship Round.

The incumbent Champion on the player's first attempt will always be Petey Piranha. However, once the player beats Petey Piranha, the defending Champion will be randomized from the roster. The player must beat the Champion and their team on the Stormship Stadium, in a game of three series. Whichever side that wins 2 games first is the winner of the tournament, and becomes or remains champion.
