Dōryī (generically referred to by Nintendo Power as flowers)[1] are plant enemies originating in Donkey Kong for Game Boy. They are first seen in the Forest, in Stage 2-3. Dōryī attack by shooting out seeds at regular intervals. The seeds travel horizontally and are harmful for Mario, but the plants themselves can be touched and stood on fine; on the other hand, they cannot be defeated. Cannons in the Desert and Airplane are similar to Dōryī, but alternate between one and two shots.
Similar enemies to Dōryī, Tane Pakkun, appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
