Hoofer (known as Mooshin in Japan and the European GameCube version) is a large black wildebeest with yellow hair, red eyes and hooves and a light-brown mouth. He is one of Donkey Kong's Jungle Buddies in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, where he is featured in the ice levels.
Hoofer's abilities are similar to Rambi from Donkey Kong Country, as he can smash through enemies and barriers with ease. However, Hoofer runs constantly while Donkey Kong rides him. At the end of a level, after obtaining the giant fruit, he either performs a gigantic leap which can give Donkey Kong a certain number of beats depending on the distance traveled, or must leap between platforms to get more beats.
He later appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a collectible sticker.
