Candy Areas, called ? Candy in the Mario Party 8 instruction guide, are areas that appear on the boards of Mario Party 8. They are essentially the successors of the Orb Spaces from Mario Party 6 and Mario Party 7. Whenever a player passes over a Candy Area, they receive a free Candy at random. Passing a Candy Area does not decrease the steps the player has remaining, since Candy Areas do not qualify as spaces. They will disappear on the final turn and no longer give free candies.

Bitsize Candy and Weeglee Candy are obtainable only from Candy Areas and cannot be bought in Candy Shops.
