Keese are bat-like enemies from The Legend of Zelda franchise, first appearing in The Legend of Zelda. They appear in The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 downloadable pack for Mario Kart 8 and in the base game of its Nintendo Switch port Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. In these games, Keese appear as obstacles near the end of the Hyrule Circuit course. They behave the same as Swoops do in other courses, flying in the opposite direction of the racers and slowing down any that crash into them. Their design is based on that of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
