When Donkey Kong approaches its mouth, the Dragon Pipe inhales him, causing Donkey Kong to move quickly through its tube-shaped body before eventually emerging out from the other mouth.

Dragon Pipe first appear in Ice Warren, a level of the Apple Kingdom. They also appear in some other levels, such as the Lychee Kingdom's Lava Cavern and the Star Fruit Kingdom's Asteroid Belt; the latter level marks their most prominent level appearance.
