During the dinner conversation, Arthur sarcastically quips about Mario and Luigi's deserving an Oscar for worst actors for the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing commercial, causing Marie to smack him in the head. Marie only reappears close to the end of the movie, being among the crowd of people in New York celebrating Bowser's defeat.
