The Mushroom Forest primarily consists of tall giant mushrooms, which act as trees. When Mario attempts to touch a blue mushroom, Toad suddenly warns him that the mushroom is poisonous (before realizing afterwards that it is actually harmless), implying there are inedible mushrooms in the forest as well.

The Mushroom Forest[1] is a location featured in The Super Mario Bros. Movie where Mario first ends up after being transported into the Mushroom Kingdom through a mysterious pipe. In the forest, Mario meets Toad, Biddybuds, and Bramballs. Butterflies (some of which appear in their design from Super Mario 64) and little birds from Super Mario 3D Land also appear as part of the wildlife.
