The green plant

The green plant[1] is a non-solid object that appears only in the Deep Woods section of the Wooded Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It can be encountered growing with two leaves in a spring next to coins that cannot be collected. When Mario captures a Coin Coffer and uses it to shoot coins into the plant, it starts to slowly grow until it produces a fruit with the Power Moon for the sidequest A Treasure Made from Coins. While coins are shot at it, it produces yellow particles around itself. After producing a fruit, the green plant cannot grow further. In total, it requires 500 coins.
