The green plant

The green plant[1] is a non-solid object that appears only in the Deep Woods section of the Wooded Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It can be encountered growing with two leaves in a spring next to coins that cannot be collected. When Mario captures a Coin Coffer and uses it to shoot coins into the plant, it starts to slowly grow until it produces a fruit with a Power Moon for the mission A Treasure Made from Coins. While coins are shot at it, it produces yellow particles around itself. After that, the green plant cannot grow further. In total, the green plant requires 500 coins.
