1000m Kayak (Singles) is a Boat Games Event that appears exclusively in the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The aim of the event is to row the 100m distance in the shortest time possible and finish before the opponents. The starting record for this event is 0:03:24.495.
Gameplay
In this event, the player must quickly rotate the circle pad to cause their character to row. The faster the player rotates the circle, pad the faster their character will accelerate. At several intervals throughout the event, the time is increased to decrease the total length of the event. The player is shown markers of whether the other characters are in front of or behind them during the event when the characters are not on screen. If the player is able to row the distance in a faster time than the other characters, then they will win the event.

Medley Match
