They appear as bat-like creatures, with thin wings and transparent, blue skin. Two white eyes and an organ are visible through their transparent skin. Black Cliones do not act like other Bakkies, instead appearing out of nowhere when Donkey Kong appears in the center of their group. They attack the Kong by swimming near him, but can be stunned if the Sound Wave Attack is used. They can then be defeated by pounding them once.
