A Toboggan is a vehicle used in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. They are very similar to Mine Carts in the game, Donkey Kong Country, as well as Skull Carts from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Despite its name, the toboggan actually appears to be a bobsled.

Toboggans are rarely used in Donkey Kong Country 3. They offer the Kongs fast transportation, as well as the ability to defeat Buzzes by jumping on them. Control over a toboggan, however, is low and the Kongs must act fast when driving one. The first appearance of toboggans are in Demolition Drain-Pipe in the area, Mekanos. The Kongs later see one in Tearaway Toboggan, where it is used to ride along the many hills of snow and ice. In the Game Boy Advance version of the game, they appear in the first half of Surf's Up.

In Donkey Kong Land III, toboggans are found in Black Ice Blitz and Whiplash Dash. Although they serve the same purpose, they can no longer defeat Buzzes, and there are no railings on the top for toboggans to grip on.

Toboggans reappear as a rideable vehicles in Mammoth Glacier from Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.
