Super Mario Bros. is a board in Fortune Street.

History

Fortune Street

Super Mario Bros. appears as a playable board in Fortune Street. In both sets of rules the board is in the shape of a capital M, although in standard rules there are two additional squares near the bottom of the board which allow the player to change the direction they are going across instead of following it all around to the bank. In Tour Mode the player needs to get at least second against Bianca, Mario and Waluigi.

In the background a level of Super Mario Bros. is scrolled through with Goombas, Koopa Troopas and Piranha Plants present. Occasionally the background will switch from that of an overground level to that of an underground one.

Official description

  • Flag of the United States of America since July 4, 1960. For North American (and sometimes South American) release dates. "The original and well-loved setting of the Super Mario Brothers. Home to some familiar lurking foes like Koopa Troopas and Goombas."

Trivia

  • Even though the Koopa Troopas present have green shells, if they reach the edge of a platform they will turn around and walk the other way.
