Bananaika (バナナイカ[1]) are squid allies in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. They are found in the underwater levels, Pristine Sea and Arctic Plunge. If Donkey Kong gets close, they will swim away and leave a trail of bananas behind for him to collect. They usually swim in a large circle (which leaves a giant banana circle in the water) or just keep moving in a direction. After a while, the squid will disappear and leave some ink behind.
