A Big Mimic chasing DK in the level, Busted Bayou
Donkey Kong, running from a Large Mimic.

Large Mimics[1], also known as Big Mimics are enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which act just like their smaller species, the Mimics. They can only be found in Busted Bayou, a silhouette-themed stage in Lost Mangroves.

While camouflaging inside large shrubs and waiting for the Kongs to reach their proximity, Big Mimics startle and begin to pursue the heroes upon sensing them. However, what looks like a chase becomes an aimless gallop throughout the surrounding area if the Kongs dodge the monsters. These can hurt the primates nevertheless, but are also vulnerable to any attacks coming from the Kongs: a stomp, a roll attack, or a thrown object can put an end to a Large Mimic.
