Two sea creatures surrounding Diddy

Sea creatures[1][2] are underwater foes in the classic Game Boy game, Donkey Kong Land. These commonly found enemies dwell the second world, Kremlantis, and return in numerous other underwater areas of the same game.

When attacking, a sea creature will clap its mantle together and propel itself upwards. After it reaches a point high enough, it will slowly begin to sink. If a Kong touches this enemy while it is moving throughout the water, he gets damaged and passes out, leaving the other playable partner, if any, do his job. Sea creatures oftenly assist several other members of the same species in swimming throughout tight spaces, strategy which increases the difficulty of their levels.
