The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.
Icy Spiked Balls are ice-covered Spiked Balls that first appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2, exclusively in World 4-1. Both normal and giant spiked balls appear, and behave identically to normal Spiked Balls.
They reappear in Yoshi's Woolly World, where they are summoned by Snifberg the Unfeeling they roll down attempting to hurt Yoshi, they can only be avoided in this game.
