Gloop (alternatively Group) are smaller relatives of Fangfish that appeared only in Donkey Kong Land. They appear primarily in Kremlantis, but also make appearances in bonus rooms in other worlds. They have an appearance similar to a Moorish idol. They usually appear in pairs and simply travel back and forth horizontally and are not actively aggressive, but often appear in narrow passageways making them difficult to get past.

Trivia

  • A preview for Donkey Kong Land contained in Nintendo Power details fish known as Pucka and Pucka Jr.. Artwork and a screenshot of Fangfish was used next to Pucka Jr., while artwork similar to Gloop appeared next to Pucka, but this was possibly a mistake as Fangfish is the largest fish in the game, which would mean that this enemy was originally known as Pucka Jr. during development.
  • These are one of the few enemies to only appear in Donkey Kong Land, but not Donkey Kong Country.
