The '''Trick Shot''' is a move introduced in ''[[Mario Tennis Aces]]''. It allows the player to quickly move to distant balls and hit them. When used with correct timing, it increases the player's energy significantly, but it is a risky maneuver, since using it with incorrect timing can decrease the player's energy instead. Each character has two unique Trick Shots: a vertical Trick Shot and a horizontal Trick Shot. Which one is used depends on the direction that the ball is in from the character. The [[Toad (species)|Toad]] commentators in tournaments identify Trick Shots when they are used and refer to them with unique names for each different Trick Shot. | |||
