These Screaming Pillars first appear in ''[[Donkey Kong Country Returns]]'' and its [[Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D|3DS port]]. Along with regular Screaming Pillars, these Screaming Pillars appear in the level, [[Canopy Cannons]], though this is the only level they appear in. If the pillars come into contact with the player(s), they instantly lose a [[Extra Life|life]]. Unlike regular ones, these Screaming Pillars cannot be defeated.

In ''Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D'' they also appear in the [[Cloud (world)|Cloud]] level, [[Crushin' Columns]] where they destroy various bridges and platforms to defeat the player.
