The rotating defense mechanism slowly and continuously spins counterclockwise until all four panels are destroyed. When Mario approaches it, it starts to launch rolling metal balls that also have Bowser symbols on them. The balls get launched from the hole in the center of this mechanism. The panels can be destroyed by shooting them after capturing a Sherm. After all four panels are destroyed, the mechanism stops and then breaks, revealing the Power Moon for the story mission Path to the Secret Flower Field and opening the gate to the Secret Flower Field.
