The '''Kongo Jungle''' is a vast jungle found on [[Donkey Kong Island]], at the foot of [[Monkey Mines]]. In ''Donkey Kong Country'', Kongo Jungle is the first world. Most of the area is engulfed in a jungle, but there is a long cavern about midway through. The cavern's exit leads to the second half of Kongo Jungle, which itself directly leads to a large lake. The original [[Super Nintendo Entertainment System]] release shows two halves of Kongo Jungle in separate screens. The levels are as follows:

Kongo Jungle (spelled "Congo Jungle" in the original ''Super Smash Bros.'') appears as one of the arenas in ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' The Kongo Jungle stage is made out of a large wooden platform with several smaller, sometimes floating ones around it. There is also a vast jungle in the background of the arena and a [[Barrel Cannon]] underneath the arena. In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'', in addition to the previous Kongo Jungle returning, another Kongo Jungle stage (later renamed "Kongo Falls" in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'') was introduced. This Kongo Jungle stage is constructed out of logs strewn together, which are sitting on rocks jutting out of a waterfall. In the background of this stage is a vast jungle along with what appears to be [[DK's Tree House]]. Kongo Jungle in ''Super Smash Bros.'' later returns in ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]'', while both versions reappear in ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate''.

A recreation of the original Kongo Jungle world map appears in ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate''{{'}}s Adventure mode, World of Light, where it is named "DK Island". It can be visited via a portal on the east side of the world map. In DK Island, ''[[Donkey Kong (franchise)|Donkey Kong]]''-series [[Spirit (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)|spirits]] appear in the locations the levels were originally (with the exception of [[Barrel Cannon Canyon]]; [[Jungle Hijinxs (Donkey Kong Country)|Jungle Hijinxs]] serves as the area's starting point), in the following order: [[Kritter]] ([[Ropey Rampage]]), [[Cranky Kong]] ([[Cranky's Cabin]]), [[Zinger]] ([[Reptile Rumble]]), [[Enguarde the Swordfish|Enguarde]] ([[Coral Capers]]), [[Funky Kong]] ([[Funky's Flights]]), [[Candy Kong]] ([[Candy's Save Point]]), and [[Diddy Kong]] ([[Very Gnawty's Lair]]). Defeating Funky Kong's puppet fighter unlocks Funky Kong's Shack, one of the shops in Spirits mode.
