I see what you mean. This is an unusual piece of artwork (and look at Peach >_o). Although, it does have the official Nintendo logo on it, so that could mean its official artwork... It could. Fawfulfury65

I couldn't find any info about where the picture originally came from, but judging from the uploader's other pictures, it only has the Nintendo logo and seal of quality because he put them there. Looks highly unofficial, not even the title is right.--vellidragon 18:08, 15 February 2010 (EST)

That might be true, but did he say who made it and where he got it from? Saying it's really old doesn't have to mean it's made by Nintendo. It still doesn't look remotely like any official Mario-related artwork, and if Nintendo did make this, wouldn't they at least get the title of the game right (it's missing the "Super" part)? Not to mention Toad has blue spots, which he presumably only does in the game due to graphical limitations; no other artwork of the time depicts a "blue" Toad.--vellidragon 10:39, 11 March 2010 (EST)

According to this gallery, artwork of this kind was used in Nintendo Power, as well as other artwork that comes closer to the "true" art, but still looks somewhat unusual in my opinion. --Grandy02 10:48, 11 March 2010 (EST)
