The name "Zeeppelin" comes from the word {{wp|zeppelin}}, a rigid blimp invented in Germany, with an extra "e" to reference the American English phonetic spelling of the letter Z, which symbolizes sleep (similar to other names in the game such as [[Zeekeeper]], [[Ultibed|Zee Parts]], etc.). During the flight, Luigi falls asleep and dreams of Antasma coming on board, which is when Toadsworth teaches Mario how to fight.
