Following the version 1.2.0 update released on February 21, 2018, [[Mario]] can purchase clothing based on the band members' costumes, the Musician Hat and Musician Outfit, from the [[Crazy Cap]] shops after completing the main story. This outfit reappears in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'' as a playable variant of Mario called Mario (Musician), added in the [[New York Tour]] (the game's first [[List of tours in Mario Kart Tour|tour]]).

Pauline being the lead singer of the band may be derived from a similar role she had in the Donkey Band mode for the canceled [[Family Computer]] game ''[[Donkey Kong no Ongaku Asobi]]''.

In the [[Nintendo Switch]] and [[Nintendo 3DS]] versions of ''[[Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Nintendo Switch / Nintendo 3DS)|Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker]]'', the band make a cameo appearance on a billboard in the level [[Uptown, Downtown]].

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', the band members appear in the background of [[New Donk City Hall (stage)|New Donk City Hall]] if the song "Jump Up, Super Star!" or "Ground Theme (Band Performance) - Super Mario Bros." is selected as the background music. At the start of the match, only the drummer is heard, and he appears on the ground. As the players ascend, the rest of the band members (including Pauline if the former song is selected) appear onscreen on propeller platforms. Hitting one of the band members makes him play his instrument. The New Donk City Band members are absent if any other song is selected.

The band members reappear in the [[New Donk City (golf course)|New Donk City]] golf course of ''[[Mario Golf: Super Rush]]'', which was added in the version 2.0.0 update.
