'''Cheep Cheep Lagoon''' (known as '''Cheep Cheep Cape''' in the British English version) is the third race course of the [[Mushroom Cup]] in ''[[Mario Kart 7]]''. This course is the first in the game to include a [[Underwater driving|race underwater]]. Along with [[3DS Rock Rock Mountain|Rock Rock Mountain]] and [[3DS DK Jungle|DK Jungle]], this course was playable in demo versions of ''Mario Kart 7''.

Cheep Cheep Lagoon reappears in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', debuting in the [[New York Tour]] alongside the rest of ''Mario Kart 7''{{'}}s Mushroom Cup.

===Course layout===
The course takes place at a lagoon. The player will start at a tropical area, which leads to a bridge that has a Go! Dive! Go! sign. After this, the player falls into an underwater lagoon, in which the player can perform tricks on the seaweed and grab [[Item Box]]es. They can get [[coin]]s and Item Boxes from the [[Clampy]]s that are underwater. After the main underwater area, the player goes through a cave, which has another body of water to dive through. Players also can fly over it by using a thin route that leads to a [[Glide Ramp]], but they need to dodge stalactites if they do so. After this, there is a right turn back to the [[Finish Line (object)|finish line]].

===Shortcuts===
The player can drive on the flat rock on the right of the track as far as the Clampys zone. Also, with a speed-boosting item, racers can cut through the grass at the last turn.

Cheep Cheep Lagoon makes its classic course debut in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', starting with the [[New York Tour]]. It is very similar to its original version, though the [[Mii]]s near the start were removed, the banner was given a redesign, and the background of the "Go! Dive! Go!" sign is brown instead of blue. 

The course also appears as '''Cheep Cheep Lagoon R''' (reversed), '''Cheep Cheep Lagoon T''' (with ramps), and '''Cheep Cheep Lagoon R/T'''. The former two debuted alongside the original in the New York Tour, while the latter debuted in the [[Holiday Tour (2019)|2019 Holiday Tour]]. In all three variants, racers are unable to access the thin route in the cave.

The course icon of the R/T variant has an error in it. It features one [[Kanaami Road]] with a dash panel ramp going out of the water, but in-game, there are two Kanaami Roads with regular ramps.
