The Metal Cap appears in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS. The Metal cap can turn Mario into Metal Mario! Nothing can hurt him! The side effect of this temporary invulnerability is that the user becomes exteremely heavy (with a side effect of extremely powerful ground pounds), they can no longer make very high or long jumps, and they sink faster in quick sand.
The Metal Caps ! Switch can be found in the Metal Cavern, which can be reached by a portal in Hazy Maze Cave's underground lake area.
Metal Mario appeared in Super Smash Bros., and the metal cap was an item and trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
All over the trophy is a reflection of the Yoshi's Island level in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
