Captain Rainbow is an upcoming game for the Wii to be released in Japan on August 28th, 2008. It is developed by Skip Ltd. and will be published by Nintendo. The game's hero is a character called Nick. Several Nintendo characters are going to make an appearance in the game.

Story
Little has been revealed about the game's story at this point. The game is set on Minmin Island, an island where wishes are said to come true. Birdo came to the island to become popular with boys. However, she was wrongly suspected of a crime and imprisoned. Nick helps her and Birdo gets a crush on Nick, calling him her boyfriend. The trailer of Captain Rainbow is refering to Birdo's gender controversity, giving her a distinctly male voice.
Little Mac, who became obese since his NES times, wants to make a diet on the island to claim the world champion title again.
