Separate entity?[edit]

Is there any proof that they are a separate entity and not just normal Shy Guys that skate? What about their Japanese name? --An unused sprite of Vivian in Super Paper Mario. FanOfYoshiArtwork of Rainbow Mario from Super Mario Galaxy. 12:43, June 13, 2019 (EDT)

Same reason as Stilt Guy. And Fly Guy. And Spy Guy. It's a Shy Guy with a different property and confirmed name. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:59, June 13, 2019 (EDT)
The "Shy Guys on Skates" in Super Mario Ball don't have a different name in Japanese, but I don't know about the appearances in the Mario Kart series. LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:56, June 13, 2019 (EDT)
They're also just called "Shy Guys" in the manual (though it's likely just referring to its collective species). Though just because it doesn't have a unique name that doesn't always mean it isn't worth covering on its own if it's distinct enough. Since we conveniently already have an article on skating Shy Guys, it would make sense to cover that here. K.K. Slider costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 04:18, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
They're the game's generic Shy Guys though. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:19, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying they're treated as the game's iteration of generic Shy Guys. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 04:50, June 15, 2019 (EDT)
Generic walking Shy Guys appear in the game too. K.K. Slider costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:39, June 15, 2019 (EDT)
