Smash's fan and Mario Kart's fan

So I just noticed that the fan used in the Super Smash Bros. series has an identical design to the Whacking Fan, an item from the Mario Kart Arcade GP games. Since both are basically the same thing, them both being identical-looking fans used as battering items, shouldn't these two pages be merged together? --Metalex123 (talk) 13:53, January 8, 2020 (EST)

No, because they're from two different series, have two different names, and do two different things. They are obviously inspired by the same object, yes, but that's not really enough for a merge. 13:58, January 8, 2020 (EST)
