Wish Race
Wish Races are unlockable race challenges that only appear in Diddy Kong Racing DS, where they player races against T.T.. There is one challenge for each world, which is accessible from a Wish Door after the player finds its corresponding Wish Key to unlock it. Wish Races replace the Battle Stages from the original Nintendo 64 release. Wish Races take place up in the skies, which is evident from the ground located far downward.
T.T. was trapped behind a Wish Door by Wizpig in each world. When the player enters a Wish Door, he instructs them to design a custom race track using the Stylus, and then the location of the start/finish line. The player must draw the race track in a specific pattern. After completing the race, the player frees T.T., who roams in the world's lobby, and receives a piece of the T.T. Amulet.
The player can unlock the option to design their own Wish Races from the main menu. They can do so by purchasing this option from Taj's Wishes Menu for fifty Coins. In this mode, the player can freely draw their own race tracks to race on.
