HAL Laboratory (HAL Labs for short) is a game development company. Originally a small group of friends who shared the desire to create games, the company has now grown to a respectable size. Among the small group who created HAL Laboratory is Satoru Iwata, the current president of Nintendo of Japan.
Among their many creations are the Kirby series and Super Smash Bros. series. Additionally, the Halberd is named after HAL Laboratory.
