Game & Wario (working title) is an upcoming party game for the Wii U that plays similar to the WarioWare series. The game can be played with one to five players, but one can play at a time before passing the Wii U GamePad on. It will be released as a launch title for the Wii U.

Gameplay

The game makes full use of the Wii U GamePad controller, as it includes microgames that require players to use the controller's touch screen. Players must play a variety of microgames to earn medals and bonus items. So far, only four microgames have been announced.

Single-player

  • Arrow: A shooting microgame that requires players to use a bow and arrow to shoot on-screen enemies. The microgame is played by holding the Wii U GamePad vertically, aiming at the television screen, and using the touch screen to draw and fire the arrow.
  • Ski: A skiing game in which the skiier must ski all the way to the finish line. Players control the skiier by holding the Wii U GamePad vertically and tilting it left and right.
  • Shutter: In this microgame, players must search buildings via the shutters (hence the microgame name) to look for hidden criminals. It is played by holding the Wii U GamePad in front of the television like a camera.

Multiplayer

  • Fruit: The only known multiplayer microgame so far, it requires 2-5 players to play.
