:I shall bring back this question: Should the DK Bongos GameCube controller regain a page of its own or not? I personally think it really should get its own page, since it's a Donkey Kong-themed accessory with (originally) 4 compatible games, them being the Donkey Konga trilogy and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, along with its planned use for the cancelled GameCube release of Donkey Kong Barrel Blast before it became a Wii game, and in the WiiWare title Plättchen Twist 'n' Paint, where it was planned to have a multiplayer mode that includes 4 DK Bongos but Nintendo requested the functionality to be removed. The DK Bongos themselves were inspired by the Bongo Blast move in Donkey Kong 64, and later appeared with the same design as the controller as part of Donkey Kong's Final Smash, Konga Beat, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U (and appears unused in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate). There are also other games that can be played with the DK Bongos (either intentionally or unintentionally), such as Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! on Switch (unintentional, but an article was made about it working well), and 3 indie games such as Beat Nebula, Squatbot, and Beat Bull. There's probably other games that planned to support the DK Bongos, or other indie games that support them, but those are just the ones I've seen mentionned before on like Wikipedia. There is also the fact the DK Bongos are pretty popular in some challenge runs by people online (like how some people beat Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild using that controller). Anyways due to all of these reasons, I really believe the DK Bongos should have an article of its own. An argument could also be made about the Nintendo GameCube Action Pad made for Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix to be honest, since it also is a controller made specifically for at least one Mario-related game. If the Nintendo GameCube Broadband Adapter, an accessory that wasn't specifically made for a Mario-related game but is compatible with... a single Mario game, then surely we can have articles for two accessories that were made specifically for Mario-related games, with Mario-related designs too, and that are pretty noteworthy, right? Oh also sorry for the wall of text, I just really like the DK Bongos and think it really deserves a page. --Metalex123 (talk) 20:38, February 20, 2023 (EST)
