Herringway's novels are read all over the world, even reaching places as far away as Poshley Heights. In fact, many of the Bumpties that live in Poshley Heights are relatives of Herringway (or, at least, they claim to be his relatives).

  • The name "Herringway" is a pun on the words herring, a type of fish penguins eat, and the name of the famous author Ernest Hemingway.
  • Herringway is the author of the novel "Paper Mario".
  • When Mario meets Herringway, it's possible to use a certain glitch on him to make morph in to something.
