Snufits make their sole appearance in Super Mario 64's Hazy Maze Cave level and the adjacent Metal Cavern. Essentially they are only floating miniature Snifits. When Mario comes too close to one they shoot black balls out of their mouth in short bursts. They can be jumped on and defeated before they have a chance to fire if your fast enough.
