A Trophy Race (Also called a Trophy Challenge) is a challenge in the game, Diddy Kong Racing and its remake, Diddy Kong Racing DS. After beating a world in Diddy Kong Racing, the player may do the challenge. Like in the Mario Kart series, they must race in four different courses. After playing in one, the player will get a certain amount of points depending on their placing. The player with the most points wins. If the player wins, they will be awarded with a golden trophy with Wizpig on top. There are five Trophy Races in all; the fifth one is accessible once the player wins the second Wizpig race.  On a side note, the silver and bronze trophies have a statue of Taj on them.
